ÖÖ32 Quartet at Viru Folk: A Magical Midnight Performance
On August 9th, we had an amazing experience playing at Viru Folk in Käsmu, Estonia. Our midnight gig was something we were super excited about, and we put in a ton of work to make sure our set would surprise and wow the crowd at the festival.
Before heading to Käsmu, we made a pit stop in Salmistu at Merike’s lovely summer house. It was the perfect spot to chill and fine-tune our pieces after our main rehearsal. The relaxed vibe really helped us get into the right mindset to make our performance at the festival something special.
In the lead-up to the festival, we had the pleasure of speaking with Virumaa Teataja about our participation in Viru Folk. You can read the full interview here. It was great to share our excitement and what went into preparing for this unique festival.
The midnight show at Viru Folk was truly magical, and we’re so thankful for the awesome energy from everyone who came out to see us. We can’t wait to bring more of our music to events like this in the future!
